summer sunsets and pretty girls.

The west coast has better sunsets than the east coast.

Case in point:

These are the views that awaited me as I went to get the mail the other day.
Beat that, Massawhosetts.
(not a sunset, or a pretty girl.. this is on the Columbia River, my favorite place.)

zoom.

Cheney, WA. Home to Eastern Washington University, sprawling fields, endless blue skies, a bunch of bored kids, and one beautiful girl..

miss Cassie Shanholtzer.
(dont worry about that last name... just call her cassafrass)
Thanks to Cassie, I now have an addiction to American Dad. (you should watch it. it's no South Park.. but it's pretty funny.)

enough said.
:)

I'm getting a speedlite on Weds for my Mark II... I could be more excited- wait, no. I couldn't be more stoked. I told Casey Baird I would take his portrait (again) once I got it. He is also hyped, its exciting. I'm telling you... men like Casey dont come around often.

It has been pretty stinking hot here. But not so hot that we don't occasionally venture outside. Earlier this week, Kris, Katie and I went on a little woodsy adventure.

i snapped a couple landscapes (just for you, mom)

We took a family portrait.

And, naturally, I stalked my friends with the camera. (Kris)

Unfortunately, most of us have come down with what some sort of pandemic, so I haven't been shooting much more this week. But once I'm off my death bed, expect a few more.

kB+cB=adventure.

This is my dear friend, Casey Baird. Casey is a good looking guy from Portland, Oregon.

Last week, on a beautiful afternoon, we took a bus into downtown Spokane and had ourselves an adventure. We talked about life, love, passion, dreams, art, adventure, etc.

And he was a great sport when it came to not only finding good reflective surfaces, but taking photos in them.

He was also an excellent model.
(Surround yourself with people like Casey Baird)
One of the most free- spirited, fun-loving, adventurous, passionate, optimistic, kind men you will ever have the pleasure of meeting.

here's to you, friend.

west coast

Life.

Over the past few weeks I have been galavanting around the pacific northwest, and snapping a few shots all the while.

Portland.

Jaydn Isaac Ekin.
I have a newfound love for rest stops after doing so much driving. and this phone booth just looked cool.

so did this arrow.

I took these while I was driving and terrified my friends.

Cassie.

Seattle.

Emerald City.

I love the beach.

self. on the floor. naturally.
Johnny Kuhn.
life is good.
more to come, I'm sure.

word.

it runs in the family

This is my nephew, Alexander.
He is five years old and already loves to play golf. Being as I was home for a few days, he asked me to come to his very first tournament, so naturally I brought my new camera along.

Mom, Dad, and baby brother Cooper came, and posed for a nice family snapshot. (the other parents thought we were dorks, but we're used to that)

Alex is left-handed, and thinks everyone else should be, too.

It was a nice day for the Tri-Cities, too- only about 90 degrees out.

And for a five-year-old, he certainly doesn't suck. I expect great things from this little man.
